The 300 series from Eastman is a relatively affordable, professional grade mandolin, on a somewhat reasonable budget. The same all solid, carved construction of their higher end models is still utilised, however, production costs are reduced with minimal cosmetic flourishes. Vis a vis, Maple with less of a figured grain, a satin rather than high gloss finish and a gig bag rather than a hard case.
