Recorder

The Forsyth recorder catalogue is one of the world's leading catalogues of recorder music, with pieces to suit every taste and ability. Many of our publications, including John Golland's 'New World Dances', John Turner's 'Four Diversions', Alan Bullard's 'Recipes', and Michael Ball's 'Danserye', are now recognised classics for the instrument, well-known and loved by recorder enthusiasts in all continents, and often set as competition and examination pieces (see listings for grade and exam board details). 

The latest additions to the catalogue are no less distinguished, with works by Alan Rawsthorne, Walter Bergmann, John Addison, and William Alwyn, and Peter Crossley-Holland. Several recent Albums are collections of shorter pieces, often of only modest difficulty - such as the wistful and memorable 'Air' by Walter Leigh, published in Recital Pieces Volume 2. 

Works for recorder by eminent Russian, Norwegian, South African, Chinese, Australian, and New Zealand composers appear alongside more familiar names to add international lustre and sparkling varietyto an impressive collection, whose aim is to surprise and delight all players of the "sweet flute".
