Boston is the mid-range piano brand of the famous Steinway piano brand, and they share some features of their illustrious cousin, such as its trademark wider, taller design, which permits a larger soundboard area, as well as a maple inner rim, and Steinway's patented Octagrip pinblock. While they are designed by Steinway, the actual instruments are manufactured by Kawai at their Hamamatsu Factory in Japan to Steinway's specification.
