Gypsy Jazz

Gypsy jazz is a style of jazz music played on acoustic instruments, mainly guitar and violin. The style is closely associated with the great Django Reinhardt (1910-1953), whose guitars had a distinctive tone. Today, half a century after Django’s death, gypsy jazz guitars are built by luthiers around the world.
